With the convening of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, improving industrial energy efficiency and promoting green transformation of industry have become the major fundamental measures to deepen and implement ecological civilization construction. In order to promote the information exchange between the government of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and companies, and help the government ‘improve industrial energy efficiency and promote green transformation of industry’, in 2015, DOBE cooperated with Administrative Committee, Energy Association, and Low Carbon Industry Association of SIP to launch the a specific assessment on energy efficiency of manufacturing industries in SIP.
In this project, we analyzed the characteristics of industrial structure of SIP deeply. And based on national laws, regulations, technical standards and other related information, our consulting team conducted systematical evaluations at different levels, ranging from regions and industries to the interior of enterprises, and eventually identified the manufacturing industrial energy efficiency and influencing factors in SIP.
Outcomes of this specific assessment has become one of the auxiliary tools for decision making, which helps SIP improve energy saving standards for the filtration of enterprises in SIP. Besides,the assessment not only provides data and information to make policies of energy efficiency bench marking, but also offers preparation and decision-making basis for SIP to conform to the development of energy revolution and to adapt the innovative applications of energy internet.
